Concept

An immersion not a transformational escape

This immersive certification applies breath science within an integrative and clinically grounded framework. Structured as an immersive retreat environment, it combines assessment, education, and practical application through measurable respiratory protocols. You arrive with questions and a physiological baseline. You leave with objective data, practical tools, and breathing skills designed for lifelong integration, applicable to both personal health and professional practice.

01 · Initial assessment

Complete measurement protocol

Breathing pattern screening and analysis. BOLT score, respiratory rate, respiratory mechanics and HRV assessment. Establishing an individual physiological baseline for protocol personalization.

02 · Supervised protocols

Morning and evening sessions

Buteyko and Oxygen Advantage® practices combined with integrative functional breathing methodologies.

03 · Controlled exposure

Supervised physiological calibration

Clinically monitored exposure protocols supporting autonomic regulation, resilience, and performance adaptation.

04 · Final assessment

Integration

Comparative baseline measurements. Individual and group debriefing with a personalized 8-week continuation protocol for long-term integration.

Testimonials
Auerelien Marchesi

It has become one of my favourite tools, both personally and with my athletes, for regulating the nervous system and sustaining high-level performance under continuous pressure.

Maëlle Launé

My Zone 2–3 training has become regenerative, whereas it used to leave me exhausted. I felt safe, reconnected, and refocused. A key element for all high-level athletes.

FAQ

Questions before applying

What level of experience is required?

No prior breathing experience is required. The immersion is designed for healthcare practitioners, coaches, athletes, educators, and motivated individuals seeking a structured and clinically guided approach to respiratory health and performance. All protocols are adapted to individual physiology, experience level, and health status.

What kind of certification is this?

An Oxygen Advantage® Advanced Instructor certification, Level 1 and Level 2, delivered as a structured clinical immersion. It combines advanced education, practical application, and instructor-level respiratory training. Participants leave with measurable physiological data, practical skills, and an official certification of completion and attendance.

What clinical measurements are performed?

Participants undergo a comprehensive functional respiratory assessment including BOLT score, Maximum Breath Tolerance (MBT), breathing frequency, breathing pattern analysis, respiratory mechanics, mobility screening, and autonomic regulation markers. Additional assessments such as HRV analysis or Bio-Well evaluation may be available depending on the immersion format.

Is cold exposure mandatory?

No. Cold exposure remains optional throughout the immersion. Participants are introduced progressively to cold adaptation principles under supervision and may choose their level of participation. The objective is physiological education and adaptation, never forced exposure.

Why is the immersion held in Sweden?

The Swedish Archipelago provides ideal conditions for respiratory training and physiological recovery. Natural light cycles, cooler temperatures, silence, nature immersion, sauna culture, and controlled cold exposure create an environment that supports nervous system regulation, recovery, adaptation, and resilience. The setting becomes part of the protocol.

How is this different from a Wim Hof retreat?

This immersion is grounded in functional breathing, respiratory physiology, and clinical assessment. While cold exposure and breath training may be included, the emphasis is placed on respiratory evaluation, protocol design, physiological adaptation, and measurable outcomes rather than peak experiences alone. Participants learn how to assess, apply, and integrate respiratory protocols within health, performance, and professional practice.

Is this supported by scientific research?

The educational framework integrates principles derived from respiratory physiology, exercise science, autonomic regulation, sleep science, and contemporary breathing research. Participants learn how to apply these concepts through structured protocols supported by measurable physiological markers.

Is this suitable for healthcare professionals?

Yes. The immersion is particularly relevant for osteopaths, physiotherapists, physicians, psychologists, coaches, and other practitioners seeking a deeper understanding of respiratory function and its influence on health, resilience, recovery, and performance.

What will I be able to apply after the immersion?

Participants leave with practical respiratory assessment tools, structured breathing protocols, recovery strategies, and a personalized continuation plan. The methodologies taught can be integrated into personal practice, clinical settings, coaching environments, athletic preparation, and educational contexts.

Is continuing education recognized?

While the immersion is not currently accredited for formal CPD points, the educational framework is internationally recognized within the fields of functional breathing and respiratory performance. Participants receive an official Advanced Oxygen Advantage® or Buteyko certification of completion and attendance.

What happens if a contraindication is identified?

Participant safety remains the highest priority. Protocols may be adapted, modified, or excluded depending on medical history, current health status, and physiological assessment performed during the immersion. Certain practices involving intensive breath retention or pressure exposure may be contraindicated in cases such as uncontrolled hypertension, cardiovascular instability, epilepsy, severe respiratory pathology, pregnancy, recent major surgery, or other conditions requiring medical clearance. Continuous supervision and individualized adjustments are provided throughout the immersion.
